    The role

    Our growing Conciliation and Services Directorate is responsible for conciliation and trader intervention activities, assisting businesses and consumers to resolve disputes remedying improper practices, and bonds administration for tenants and landlords.

    The new Commissioner Determinations function will implement key aspects of recent legislative reforms designed to enable tenants to make their rental a home and to provide an accessible and streamlined alternative to court for bond disputes.

    As the General Manager Determinations, you will contribute to establishing the new Commissioner Determinations function within Consumer Protection, ensuring the fair and transparent determination of disputes.

    You will provide strategic leadership and guide your new team.

    You will support their growth and development as they provide excellence in customer focussed and effective determination activities under Consumer Protection Legislation.

    Your key responsibilities will include managing the operations of the Branch, providing high level advice, developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and procedures, participating in strategic and operational planning, proactively building, and maintaining strategic relationships, and coaching and mentoring your employees.

    In this role, you will showcase your ability to lead a growing team and your experience in providing strategic advice.
