- Band 6 - $91,938 to $102,015 per annum plus super
About The Role
The Civic Events Officer is responsible for managing the planning, implementation, delivery and review of all civic recognition and civic events to a consistently high standard, ensuring alignment with Council's policies, goals and strategic priorities.
This includes the coordination and delivery of official openings, launches, media opportunities and ribbon‑cutting events for key project milestones, undertaken in collaboration with relevant State and Federal departments and Ministerial offices.
The role oversees the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of Citizenship Ceremonies on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs, ensuring full compliance with the Australian Citizenship Ceremonies Code. As one of the primary contact points for the Executive and Civic Services team, the Civic Events Officer provides a high level of service to both internal and external customers.
A key component of the role is promoting a positive, professional image of the Civic Support team, maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality at all times. The position also contributes to building a high‑functioning, collaborative Civic Support office by working effectively with team members and delivering services in accordance with documented procedures and protocols.
