    Zezt Pty Ltd is a Tasmanian business formed in 1997. Today the business continues to operate from a well-equipped manufacturing plant based in Wynyard, Tasmania. The organisation specialises in the manufacture and supply of extruded polyethylene pipe for the mining, agriculture, aquaculture, civil and rural industries.

    About the Role

    This purpose of this position is to maintain and improve production standards while supporting the Production Manager and maintaining a work culture that is aligned with company values and strategy and to provide support for the Quality Officer when and where necessary.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Support production in the area of work order scheduling and completion by monitoring work order progress and output in conjunction with customer demands and schedules.
    • Liaise with the production and distribution departments to ensure efficient transfer of finished goods from production to distribution stock holding locations.
    • Support the coordination and execution of QC testing and QA inspections on processes/products, as well any other Quality related duties as required.
    • Support Production Manager in the area of equipment reliability via coordination of internal and external resources as required.
    • Setting up and maintaining inventory controls and documentation
    • In collaboration with the Production Manager, coordinate internal and external maintenance resources (labour & parts) as required to ensure efficient operation of the production plant.
    • Liaising with customers auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer's specifications

    About You

    • A qualification as a Graduate Engineer or equivalent
    • Strong technical background around manufacturing
    • A current driving license
    • Be able to work independently and have sound judgment skills
    • Flexibility around working hours and days
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to adapt and change
    • Strong focus and commitment on safety, quality and environment.
