    Fire Safety and Security Officer - Talent Pool

    Rockhampton Hospital is seeking Fire Safety and Security Officers to join their team.

    About the Role:

    • Conduct vehicle mounted and foot patrols of all internal and external areas to ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients.
    • Maintain a positive security presence through regular patrols and welfare checks.
    • Provide staff escorts at shift changes or as requested, and maintain CCTV functionality as per Operating Procedures.
    • Complete lock up checks of all buildings and internal/external areas at allocated times.
    • Control conduct and traffic management on Health Service land as per Part 8 Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011.
    • Respond to emergency responses, including fire protection, duress alarms, building alarm systems, and calls for assistance as per Code Black and Red Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Manage aggressive patients and visitors as per aggressive behaviour management protocols and methodology within response time requirements.

    About You:

    • A Certificate II or III in Security Operations and Class 1 Security License QLD is highly desirable but not mandatory.
    • Candidates must provide certified copies of requested proof of identity documents for General Criminal History and National Police Certificate checks.

    We Offer:

    • An hourly rate between $41.84-$43.86 p.h., including 25% casual loading.
    • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
    • Other benefits include Work-Life Balance, Variety, and Flexibility, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Fitness Passport, and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements.
