NeoBuild Engineering International is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead a major commercial construction project in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Preferably this role will be based in PNG, however we are open to FIFO for the right candidate. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in overseeing large-scale commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of the project, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and implementation of the project from conception to completion.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop full-scale project plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects.
• Coordinate and manage project staff and subcontractors in a dynamic environment.
• Manage project budget and resource allocation.
• Provide direction and support to the project team to meet compliance and performance criteria.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Project evaluations and assessment of results.
• Engage and negotiate with stakeholders and vendors.
• Ensure the adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
• Prepare reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• More than 20 years of direct work experience in project management, specifically in commercial construction.
• Extensive experience working in Papua New Guinea or similar environments, with a deep understanding of local regulations, labour laws, and construction practices.
• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery for large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Preferred Skills:
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly regarded.
• Experience in sustainable building practices.
• Advanced skills in financial forecasting and risk management.
