    Job Scope:

    FLSmidth is currently looking for a passionate and innovative individual with a strong technical background who can easily build rapport and relationships with a broad range of people. This is a critical role within the business which will support primarily our Reflux Technologies(Reflux Classifier and Reflux Flotation Cell), Flotation, Thickening, and Filtration range of products; provide technical support to Sales, Service, Order to Delivery, Laboratory, Execution and Delivery Teams daily. FLSmidth requires a qualified Metallurgist/Process engineer to support our APAC Customers.

    How will you help us achieve this:

    • Providing technical support and guidance to the sales and execution teams
    • Presenting to clients and internally to promote FLSmidth products
    • Evaluate, assess, and report on new business opportunities
    • Assist in the management of laboratories and pilot equipment
    • Building relationships with external clients to enhance technical sales
    • Involvement in R&D activities and generation of promotional material/papers
    • Technical training of internal and external colleagues
    • Working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
    • Manage/ influence the design and estimation of the products
    • Flow sheet & product auditing/inspections and provide recommendations
    • Commissioning of recently installed or refurbished equipment
    • Communication of global product innovations

    What you bring:

    • Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering Degree (or mechanical with demonstrated process experience)
    • At least 2 years within the mineral processing industry (operation or design) either in Australia or overseas.
    • Clear communication/presentation skills and demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time depending on business needs (within the APAC region)
    • Good commercial knowledge, communication, and negotiation skills are an advantage
    • Live in the Perth region (office located in Welshpool and flexible working arrangements on offer)
