    Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2

    We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to make a lasting impact on patient care within our community as part of the DH MH Care Navigation Team in Drug Health Services – District Wide.

    This senior role offers a chance to work with allied health leaders, utilise advanced assessment skills, and build relationships that contribute to the betterment of healthcare in the South Western Sydney Local Health District.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of care in the given specialty, promoting clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership.

    South Western Sydney is rapidly growing and is a great place for young people and families to build a life. We are close to public transport, a short drive to the beach, and the natural wonders of the Blue Mountains and Royal National Park.

    • $131,870.9 - $134,500.7 Per Annum Salary Range

    About This Opportunity

    This role requires a strong understanding of clinical practice advances and research in the relevant specialty. The successful candidate will need to have at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field.

    • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    • Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe, compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
    • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
    • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced-based nursing care
    • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement in the workplace

    The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will play a vital role in transforming healthcare delivery, improving the patient journey, and ensuring holistic patient well-being through:

    • Leadership and collaboration with health care providers and consumer groups
    • Developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes
    • Providing services which facilitate effective management of care in the given specialty
