The AIR 5428 Pilot Training System partners with the Australian Defence Force for development of its military pilot workforce at four operating bases, RAAF Base East Sale, RAAF Base Pearce, RAAF Base Edinburgh, and RAAF Base Williamtown. Implementing a tailored learning solution, Lockheed Martin leads the delivery of this approach for all Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army candidates; as well as supporting operations for other key Australian Defence Force aviation units.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide input to requirements and design development, and subsequently manage the execution (installation, integration, sustainment) of Pilot Training System (PTS) Network ICT solutions
• Lead the estimating, planning, co-ordination and monitoring of ICT projects for integration into the PTS Network. It will manage ICT projects (Scope, Schedule, Cost); Author requirements, design and test artefacts and manage the implementation of complex systems, components and capabilities
• Provide leadership, subject matter expertise and functional management responsibilities to the PTS ICT Team
• Drive the installation and integration of ICT solutions into the PTS Network
• Partner with Engineering & Technology to support ICT design efforts through reviews and workshops
• Actively drive the pursuit of new business, by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal responses

As well as the above you will also be responsible for managing a small team of System Administrators and Help Desk staff.

About you:

• Significant ICT Project Management experience managing small-medium teams in a technical leadership role
• Experience in planning, design, and implementation of ICT solutions within Australian Defence or Federal Government environments
• Abilities in reviewing, interpreting, and implementing Information Security Manual, Defence Security Principles Framework and Essential 8 Controls in Defence ICT Systems or similar experience in Protective Security Policy Framework
• Proven experience developing and maintaining an effective working relationship and open channels of communication with key stakeholders
• Proven leadership experience with advanced communication, time management and decision-making skills

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable Baseline Security Clearance.
