    Role Overview

    2XM Recruit is seeking a Business Case Development Lead for a NSW Government to support the Program Director and Program sponsors in developing the DTRS (Digital Train Radio System) implementation program business case. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include running the overall process, gathering cost inputs, and identifying realizable benefits.

    You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that business case strategies and assumptions are well understood and articulated. Additionally, you will present business cases to key stakeholders and provide optionality analysis and recommendations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of large-scale, complex transport or infrastructure-related business cases.
    • Gather cost inputs and conduct detailed cost modelling.
    • Develop inputs to the NSW Treasury business case and perform cost-benefit analysis.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity, improvement, and efficiency.
    • Remain abreast of changes in infrastructure assurance, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage a team of multi-disciplinary specialists to facilitate their ongoing professional development.

    Key Challenges

    • Approach business case development with a scalable, risk-based approach.
    • Compare various vendor models and implementation approaches across the rail network.
    • Work collaboratively and in partnership with client divisions and stakeholders during periods of significant change.
    • Influence multiple stakeholders with competing priorities to achieve aligned outcomes.

    Key Knowledge And Experience

    • Demonstrated experience in leading the development of large-scale, complex business cases.
    • Proficiency in program planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Understanding of telecommunication, systems integration, and wireless networks.
    • Strong skills in using computer-related software for business case development.
    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience.
    • Experience in working on large business cases involving NSW Treasury or ASX 100 Company approvals.
