- Coordinate and perform the period-end close process
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of Revenue accounting
- Prepare reconciliations of relevant general ledger accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Ongoing review of general ledgers to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Interact and provide data to internal and external auditors as necessary
- Provides support to management in the preparation of revenue & operating budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with the relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and South32 control framework
- Consolidating and preparing briefing papers and other internal/external management reporting requirements for half-year and year end reporting requirements (Quarterly Production Report, Results Announcement, Operations Finance Review, etc.)
- Experience in accounting/risk/finance/audit or related field is desirable
- Proficient in the use of SAP, BI and Cognos (preferable)
- Sound understanding of finance processes and deliverables in a corporate/commercial environment
- Analytical and accurate, with an inquisitive mindset to critically evaluate information and numbers
- Positive, flexible, and dynamic approach
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- CA / CPA or equivalent qualification

South32's corporate office is located in the heart of Perth's CBD. It houses key functions, including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk, and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent full-time position, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be based at our head office in Perth.
The Analyst Marketing Finance is responsible for conducting and supporting the period-end close process, including preparing statutory accounts, providing accounting advice for Marketing, and providing input into the Group's budgeting and forecasting cycle. They also ensure high-quality analysis and accurate reporting of the Group's financial results.
