The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is seeking a motivated Town Maintenance Officer to join their Operations Team in Kununurra. The role involves daily maintenance of parks and reserves, roads and drainage, reticulation systems, and other works in the Wyndham town site and surrounds.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and construction projects for parks, sporting facilities, public open spaces, reserves, cemetery's, streets, and Shire ablutions
• Roadside preparation and maintenance, including tree planting, removing litter, trimming, whipper snipping, tree and branch removal, clean up after storms, etc.
• Gardening duties, including mowing, fertilising, planting, pruning, edging, reticulation maintenance, and weed control
• Operating fleet, including truck/trailer, and plant equipment for maintenance requirements
• Maintaining plant and equipment log books and completing end of day checks for equipment readiness
• Ensuring tools, machinery, equipment, and workshop are maintained to a high standard
• Attending team meetings, toolbox meetings, inductions, and required training
