    Description

    Data Architect

    We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to lead the development of a new Data Platform utilizing AWS, S3 and AWS Services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide technical leadership to project delivery teams through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process and technical workshops.
    2. Review and refine the data delivery framework in order to enhance integration of new sources, performance of existing data delivery and rapid development of new subject areas.
    3. Set peer review and data modelling release standards.
    4. Provide knowledge transfer sessions on best practices on development, data modelling, release process etc.
    5. Own the technical implementation of new data from analysis to delivery.
    6. Facilitate continuous improvement measures in delivery principles, coding standards, documentation and provide training sessions to team.
    7. Provide guidance on Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models and strong experience in Data model tools like Erwin.
    8. Development and maintenance of system documentation.
    9. Collaboration with data consumers, database development, testers and IT support teams.

    This is an initial 12-month contract with extension to 24 months and a hybrid working model, requiring three days in the office per week. Successful applicants must have Australian Citizenship for free sponsorship to a Baseline Clearance or existing security clearance.

    The successful candidate will have experience with Data Architecture in an AWS Cloud Data environment, using S3 and contemporary Cloud Warehouse Products. Experience in delivery of Cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse Platforms, including ETL, and demonstrated ETL and DevOps processes.
