    Where the team fits in

    The Senior FP&A Analyst sits within the Finance and Business Services Group, headed up by the Chief Financial Officer. The Finance and Business Services team, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk & Assurance, Workplace Experience & Procurement, Investor Relations, Corporate Development and Corporate Communications.

    This cross-functional group of individuals who are the best in their fields, provide strategic commercial input and guidance around decisions across all levels of the business, while continually improving the 'behind the scenes' of REA to support our people, drive efficiencies and maximise customer satisfaction.

    What the role is all about

    The Senior FP&A Analyst will be a key member of the broader commercial finance team with responsibilities including:

    • Group consolidation process, ensuring its accuracy and completeness
    • Analysis of monthly, quarterly and full year financials
    • Group reporting, gathering insights into performance from around the business for internal, intercompany and external audiences
    • A key contributor in Board reporting on monthly financial results, full year forecasts, and annual budgets
    • Maintain and analyse Group Headcount (including forecasts and budgets)
    • A key driver of the annual budget process being an owner of group level assumptions and drivers
    • Being a key contributor in the consolidation of long-term strategy outlook models
    • Own the commercial finance timetable and instructions for deliverables to enable our wider team
    • Developing processes for the use of planning tools for forecasting to enable the wider team
    • Contribute to the consolidation of weekly revenue analysis
    • Provide Group level ad hoc analysis and insights with a view to maximizing commercial outcomes
    • Drive improvements in reporting/analysis for operational management, executive leadership and Board level reporting
    • Engage closely with the financial accounting and group reporting teams
    • Ensure relevant Group SOX compliance requirements are met

    Who we're looking for

    • Someone with a few runs on the board – experience within Big 4 or in an industry environment in a commercial capacity
    • CA/CPA qualified
    • Analysis, modelling, budgeting and forecasting experience
    • Advanced excel skills
    • Strong initiative; willingness to take ownership
    • Excellent analytical capabilities, numeracy skills and accountability
    • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
    • Demonstrated commercial acumen and stakeholder management
