    A reputable consultancy specializing in design services for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer.


    As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will lead a team of engineers and drafters under the direct supervision of the principal designer. Your responsibilities will include:

    1. Developing detailed designs and specifications for structures.
    2. Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure feasibility and practicality of designs within project requirements and budget constraints.
    3. Overseeing construction processes to ensure correct implementation of designs and adherence to specifications and standards.
    4. Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with regulations and codes.
    5. Managing teams of junior engineers and drafters, providing guidance, support, and delegating tasks.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Circa 10+ years of experience as a structural engineer in a consulting environment.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards.
    • Prior experience in coordinating teams of engineers and drafters.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience in liaising with project stakeholders.
    • Existing contacts and ability to generate fees would be highly attractive.
