Our projects include the Sydney Metro, Melbourne Metro, and Westgate Tunnel projects and several other small to large size projects.
Because of our continued, sustained growth and success, we are looking for a Principal Tunnel Engineer to support our current and future infrastructure projects in Australia.

As a Principal Tunnel Engineer, your duties will include:Leading projects as a company representative to deliver on the promise to our clients
Engaging with clients to handle client concerns and requests, as the project lead
Carrying out calculations (geotechnical and structural) independently and initiate technical solutions
Producing design solutions, reports and specifications
Preparing sketches for designers to get a design solution drafted
Liaising with designers to ensure all relevant information is provided on time
Liaising with clients and project design teams for design coordination
Checking of drawings and providing feedback to design team
Actively participate in company meetings and mentor younger engineers to grow the organisation
Willingness to actively participate in company workshops and coaching
Skills and Experience
We're looking for an individual to join our team who fits our company culture and has the following qualifications, skills and experience as a minimum.
Masters in Civil Engineering, preferred, or a minimum of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.Degree(s) should be structural or geotechnical or civil with good structural understanding.
Minimum 10 years of experience working, preferably, in the civil infrastructure industry with intensive working experience in tunnel design and other underground structures as a design engineer for projects that have already been constructed
Have a track record of delivering small to medium size projects successfully
Experienced in managing small teams
Highly experienced in numerical modelling
Highly competent in the use of various FEM/FDM software packages (FLAC, FLAC3 D, UDEC, etc.)
Experienced in working directly with contractors and multiple design teams
