    Role description: Equipment Planning Lead, is responsible for optimising and managing fleet availability and demand across APAC, playing a critical role in meeting customer demands and managing movement and business costs.

    Detailed description: As Equipment Planning Lead you will be responsible for optimising fleet availability and demand across APAC for the base business. Working closely with the Equipment team, this role also works collaboratively with the Fleet & Projects Planning Manager, Operations to ensure available fleet is allocated accordingly to satisfy customer demand and needs are met. This role will be pivotal to managing interstate costs, strategic movements and sourcing of cross hire requirements within the APAC business to support the base business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage, plan and support the efficient deployment of fleet and associated auxiliary items to meet customer demands in a high pressured environment.
    • Create schedules and allocate fleet to various locations and project sites based on priorities, load demands, and customer contracts.
    • Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in fleet utilisation and efficiency
    • Utilise data and monitor utilisation to support fleet movements as required
    • Manage costs associated with fleet movements for last minute hires
    • Quality management of orders to ensure accuracy of fleet allocation
    • Identify cost saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce logistical expenses whilst optimally serving our customers
    • Managing cross-hire items for the business and negotiating with suppliers for competitive pricing
    • Working with equipment desk to drive and measure and exceed customer expectations
    • Work across teams to drive a culture of working together

    Location: Based in Melbourne, hybrid work arrangements with potential local & overseas travel

    What we're looking for

    • Exposure to ERP systems M3 Cloudsuite or similar would be an advantage.
    • Good understanding of an energy rental industry
    • Strong budgeting/cost management skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport cross functionally with teams.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid business acumen, management, and problem solving skills
    • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBi, etc.)
    • Strong people leadership skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and reactive environment
    • Solid understanding of process optimisation to enhance operational efficiency
