    Job Summary:

    Provide Mine Planning Engineering solutions to a world-class phosphate mine that services an ammonia manufacturing plant. Enjoy a rewarding career with an 8/6 FIFO roster ex Brisbane/Townsville. This role is tasked with coordinating the Mine Planning Functions and is responsible for mine designs, short to long-term planning, and rehabilitation plans.

    • $140,000 - $160,000 + super + $25,000 site allowance.

    Day to Day Responsibilities:

    • Develop strategic mine plans and schedules for open-cut projects for 2 weeks – 12 months.
    • Use Deswick and other CAD-based software to design in-depth mine plans.
    • Develop and implement long-term mining plans.
    • Work closely with Geologists, Environmentalists, Logistics, Maintenance, Sub-Contractors and the Strategic Mine Planning team to coordinate the alignment of project objectives.
    • Assist with annual grade control drilling programmes, modelling Aquifers and ORE reserve estimates.
    • Complete Final Land Form Assessments and rehabilitation plans.

    Skills Required

    • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering (mining, civil or similar).
    • 5+ years of experience in a similar design and scheduling position.
    • Understanding of environmental standards and rehabilitation procedures.
    • Open-cut mining and drill and blasting exposure.
    • Deswick, Surpac, Xpac, SAP or other CAD-based software experience.
    • Strong understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong leadership capabilities focusing on mentoring others.
