    About the opportunity

    The WHS Site Coordinator position reports to the WHS Manager and is part of NSW WHS team. Your focus will be to assist the construction team in maintaining high levels of safety standards whilst ensuring compliance with the group safety systems. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

    • Undertaking site inspections and assist with WHS system audits
    • Execute and coordinate appropriate risk management actions including maintaining incident, maintenance, risk and hazard reports and registers
    • Facilitating WHS related toolbox meetings and address non-conformance issues
    • Assist with subcontractor WHS management and incident management
    • Providing information, training and resources to subcontractors and relevant people on-site
    • Generate reports on inspections and recommend corrective actions
    • Provide accurate and timely administrative support to the WHS Management team as required
    • Collaborate cross functionally to implement improvements to the contractor experience and issue resolution process

    About you

    You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:

    • Previous experience working in a similar role
    • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
    • Hold a current White Card, First Aid Certificate and Driver's Licence
    • Strong knowledge of WHS Legislation & Regulations, Cods of Practice and Standards relation to the Construction Industry
    • A proven record of in implementing WHS management systems, whilst also contribution to system improvements
    • Goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to work within a team environment
    • Willingness to travel daily between project sites located across the Hunter, Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Port Macquarie
