Our client is a federal government department that develops and implements policies and programs to ensure the competitiveness, profitability, and sustainability of a broad range of Australian industries. They are centrally located with modern offices and a healthy work culture.
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an EL1 equivalent finance officer to join for a specific project to provide advice on cost recovery policy, manage stakeholder reporting cycles, and provide leadership through the cost recovery cycles.
This role is initially offered as a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. You can be located in Canberra or any other cities within Australia. Fully remote working arrangement can also be considered for right candidate.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
You will be an experienced accountant or finance officer with working experience in cost recovery. You have over 5 years of experience in financial management and possess sound knowledge of government budgetary and financial frameworks.
Additionally, you have experience in developing and presenting written material of a financial and business nature, along with strong analytical and effective communication skills.
Applicants should hold an existing Baseline Vetting security clearance or above.
Salary / Rate
$70/hr - $100/hr + 11% super
