Perform on-site maintenance, breakdown response, troubleshoot & repairs for the Manufacturer and Distributor of Bulk Materials handling products.

The Company

Specialising in the manufacture and distribution of Bulk Materials Handling systems and products, this well established, successful, family-owned business has thrived in this market sector for over 40 years.

Their products service clients in the Mining Industry, Ports, Quarries and the Manufacturing and Production Industries and include products such as, high quality conveying systems, belt cleaners, air cannons, dust controllers and conveyor skirting.

With 11 branches across Australia, 2 manufacturing plants and a workforce of nearly 100 employees, an exciting role now exists for a Melbourne based Sales and Service Technician

The Reward

The Role

• Install, inspect and maintain equipment to quarry and mine sites and quarry plants etc
• Support new business and take care of existing customers in Victoria, SA and Tasmania
• Consultatively guide clients through the product selection process
• Stay customer focused, ensuring the continued success of delivering quality services
• Complete quotes in a timely manner

This is a job with travel to customers at mine and quarry sites and concrete plants. You must be willing and able to travel and be able to handle the physical capabilities required for this job – some lifting, working at heights, equipment assembly etc.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in a trade background, and be able to weld to an acceptable level
• Experience and an understanding of the Bulk Materials Handling sector beneficial
• Possess physical capabilities to work at heights and work and lift in confined spaces
• Natural ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long term relationships
• Commercial awareness, good problem-solving skills and be self-motivated with a desire to succeed
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Valid motor vehicle licence
