Role: Site Supervisor (Commercial and Insurance) - Roofing Company Specializing in Storm Damage

Contract Type: 6-8 months (Potential for Permanent Position)

The company

Are you an experienced and highly skilled Supervisor looking for a challenging opportunity in the commercial and insurance sectors, particularly in storm damage restoration? We are working with a leading roofing company dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and they are seeking a professional to join our team for an initial 6-8 month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Duties

As a Site Supervisor specializing in storm damage for our roofing company, you will be responsible for the following:

Conducting roof reports specifically tailored for storm damage insurance claims.
Scoping works for storm damage insurance claims, with a preference for estimating experience.
Conducting final inspections of subcontractor works related to storm damage restoration.
Overseeing rectification works for storm-damaged roofs.
Liaising with builders and managing subcontractors in the context of storm damage projects.
Demonstrating expertise in storm damage assessment within the insurance space.
Onsite management of new commercial, industrial, and residential projects with a focus on storm damage restoration.

Criteria

The ideal candidate would possess:

Carpentry experience with a specialization in storm damage repair.
Working at heights certification.
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket.
Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) license.
Excellent time management skills, especially in fast-paced storm damage projects.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, particularly in the context of insurance-related work.
Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with insurance providers, builders, and subcontractors.
Proficient negotiation skills, specifically in storm damage claims.
Ability to build and maintain trustworthy relationships, especially in the storm damage restoration sector.

This role involves travel to project sites in Gympie, Maryborough, Toowoomba, and possibly Roma, so flexibility and mobility are essential.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Scheduler and Director, requiring exceptional time management, organizational skills, and effective communication. The ability to negotiate and build trustworthy relationships with builders and subcontractors, especially in the context of storm damage restoration, is crucial.
