    The Opportunity
    Located in the beautiful suburb of New Farm with great access to public transport and a short walk to New Farm Park and James Street, Care for Kyds Outside School Hours Care is one of over 130 childcare services across Southeast Queensland.

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OSHC Coordinator to take lead of the Care for Kyds Outside School Hours Care. Care for Kyds Outside School Hours Care operates before, after school care and a vacation care program.

    The service is licensed for up to 45 children that adheres to Catholic community values.

    The successful candidate will strive in forming and maintaining strong networks across all divisions and stakeholders and brings energy and a welcoming demeanour to all children and parents. This role will share the same passion we all have for the children's development and wellbeing, along with the support of the team of fantastic Educators. We have a supportive management team and head office staff, who work together with you to ensure the service provides the best quality care for our children.

    We pride ourselves on providing a varied program including arts and craft, sports, cooking, visiting entertainment and excursions. The service has access to many different areas for the children to play and learn including an outdoor oval, indoor sports court, school hall, adventure playground as well as our purpose built OSHC room.

    Hours: 38 hours per week

    Remuneration: $ $41.19 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the delivery of a high quality, inclusive and educational program.
    • Manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks.
    • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
    • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
    • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

    Job Requirements:

    • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines. Please see link for full list:
    • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
    • Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor of the service.
    • A strong understanding of Childcare legislation including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place
    • Previous experience in childcare service management
    • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
    • Proven leadership skills to develop a team of staff.
