    Multiple Positions: Tenders and Contracts Officer, Project Managers, GM

    PlanPac is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm operating in Papua New Guinea, Australia & Fiji. Our offices are in Port Moresby, Townsville and Suva, and we intend to broaden our operations further to service the Solomon Islands.

    The PlanPac team are diverse in skills delivering building design, town planning, project management and contract management to our clients with a comprehensive end-to-end approach focusing on quality inclusive building & infrastructure developments.

    Due to the growth of our business, we have multiple positions available to join our team across our operations in Townville, Port Moresby and Suva.

    The Financial Controller will manage and oversee the financial operations of the business in Australia, PNG and Fiji, including financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. You will be a leader in strategy and execution in financial accounting. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, to drive business growth and execute business objectives.

    Key skills and experience

    • Bachelor's degree (Commerce, Accounting or Finance).
    • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role ideally within construction or related industry.
    • Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software.
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and costing.
    • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and develop a team.
    • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs within PlanPac.

    As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organisation to new heights. Your strategic acumen and proven leadership abilities will be instrumental in driving business operations, including developing and executing a robust growth strategy to propel the company's local and international market presence.

    The key responsibilities for this role will include but not limited to:

    • Developing and implementing business strategies to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
    • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
    • Monitoring market trends and adjusting strategies as necessary to stay competitive.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
    • Developing and maintaining a positive company culture and ensuring that staff are motivated and engaged.

    Key skills and experience

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field
    • 10+ years' experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    • Proven experience in a high-level managerial leadership position in a scaling business
    • Strong financial management skills including experience developing and managing budgets.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, employees, and other stakeholders.

    Tenders and Contracts Officer | Procurement | Manager (TSV)

    We are looking for a Tenders and Contracts Officer | Procurement and Manager to join our team in the Townsville office. The position will be responsible for identifying and responding to tenders and proposals, managing bid delivery, contract awarding, support the implementation | transition of new services, ensure legal, commercial and compliance checks are in place, accurately record monthly bid volumes, work with all internal counterparts to create compelling and memorable bid documents, which include a clear value proposition and effective win strategies, and support the Managing Director to identify and introduce new business opportunities to drive growth and enhance PlanPac market position and reputation.

    We are looking for an experienced Program | Project Manager to join our team in the Townsville office to lead the implementation of quality and impactful programs across project in Papua New Guinea and Townsville. You'll be involved in all stages of project delivery to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will lead project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities, provide guidance and support, communicate project status, updates and changes to GM and team members regularly, and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

    Design Managers (TSV | PNG)

    Due to an increase in project demands, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager for our operation in Townsville and Papua New Guinea. You will be responsible for leading and managing the development and delivery of all architectural design aspects to ensure that all designs meet the regulatory requirements, are efficient and cost-effective construction of the project.

    Key skills and experience

    • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field (preferred).
    • Australian Registered Architect (preferred).
    • 5 years plus of experience in architectural design, with a portfolio.
    • Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD, and other 3D modelling software.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong team building skills with an ability to mentor and train ambitious designers.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Draftsperson (TSV)

    We are looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join our team in Townville. You'll have the ability to work across all stages of the design process, and ensure projects are executed to the highest standards, adhering to strict timelines.

    The key responsibilities for this role will include but not limited to:

    • Proficiency in ArchiCAD, with an understanding and application of relevant building codes to produce quality architectural design and documentation.
    • Assist in preparing architectural documents for planning and building applications.
    • Assist in preparing detailed architectural documents for tendering and construction purposes.
    • Assist in coordinating and liaising with consultant teams and contractors on a variety of projects at varying stages.
    • Adjusting designs and plans to meet the client's needs.
    • Collaborate with architects to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
    • Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.

    Town Planner (PNG)

    We are looking for an experienced Town Planner for our operation in Papua New Guinea. The role involves understanding of statutory, strategic, and land use planning principles to provide practical and expert planning advice to clients and the project team, provide high-quality deliverables including the preparation of planning reports and correspondence, along with excellent communication and client interface skills.

    As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate strong leadership capability, proven relationship building and people management skills, complemented with well-developed communication, interpersonal and influencing abilities.
