    Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring the smooth running of all finance matters. This opportunity is located in Brisbane's inner suburbs and is initially a two month temporary opportunity with a view to extension.

    The Role:

    As the Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's finance department. Your primary objective will be to achieve accurate and timely transnational processing, aligning with the month-end requirements set by the accounting team. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of completing bank reconciliations, processing corporate invoices, managing administrative tasks, and mentoring other members of the team. Your ability to organise, prioritise tasks under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards will be key to your success in this role.

    • Complete bank reconciliation of all business bank accounts on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Process corporate invoice details in VP and post for approval
    • Monitor and manage the Finance inbox
    • Supervise and mentor Finance Administrator role to ensure tasks are completed accurately
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and application of legislation, industry standards, and technological innovations relevant to your role

    The Candidate:

    You'll have demonstrated strong data entry skills with an emphasis on speed and accuracy. Your basic to intermediate skills in MS Excel coupled with moderate levels of written and verbal communication skills make you an excellent fit for this role.

    • Strong level of data entry skills – speed and accuracy of input
    • Demonstrated accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliation experience
    • GST experience and knowledge
    • MS Excel & Word – Basic / Intermediate
    • Moderate level of written and verbal communication skills
