The organisation is a proud Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation that is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people, by providing social support and primary health services and the necessary leadership and co-operative spirit to break down barriers between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people across the Mallee region.
About the roleThe partnership between the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board is the driving force behind the success of Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS).
Working hand-in-hand, they provide unwavering direction and inspiring leadership, ensuring MDAS remains deeply relevant to its community while achieving its visionary goals, strategic plans and business objectives.
The CEO empowers the Board to excel in its governance role, while the Board entrusts the CEO with the vital responsibility of navigating key management and operational challenges within the framework of its shared direction and policies.
Together, they forge a path of innovation, impact, and inclusivity that defines MDAS's commitment to excellence and service to its community.
About youYour background showcases significant executive leadership within non-profit sectors and a deep understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, alongside a demonstrated capacity to oversee diverse organisations effectively.
Your skill set includes exceptional proficiency in strategic planning, finance, and human resources, coupled with the ability to foster collaborative partnerships across varied stakeholders, including government entities and the Board.
As an exceptional and inspiring leader, you energise and unify teams, ensuring cultural safety, prioritising inclusive services that honour cultural diversity, and championing health initiatives within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
