    Located within Engine & Component Maintenance Services, your position as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) will see you carrying out work in the Aircraft Evacuation Systems Workshop (Aircraft slides and rafts).

    In this role you will be responsible for the repair, overhaul and maintenance of the latest B737, A320, A330 and A380 evacuation equipment. We will see you delivering quality maintenance to our Aircraft Evacuation Systems. This role is critical in delivering these essential components to the Qantas network.

    You'll have –

    • Certificate IV in Aeroskills or an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in a field directly related to industrial, engineering, manufacturing, transport/automotive maintenance, or repair disciplines
    • Evacuation Systems experience (advantageous)
    • Previous experience or knowledge in the aviation maintenance industry (advantageous)
    • Commitment to be a highly customer-focused team worker with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
    • An understanding of the obligations on employees and employers required by the relevant regulators including CASA, FAA and Worksafe
    • Sound communications skills, both written and verbal
    • Highly developed attention to detail
