    About the Role:
    For our client, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety with their diverse product range spanning technology, furniture, office supplies - is paramount. They are seeking a Product Quality and Senior Safety Officer to ensure compliance with all legal product quality and safety requirements. This pivotal 6 week assignment will champion product quality and safety standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives to build brand trust, manage risk, and achieve corporate objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the strategic direction of quality assurance, control, and product safety initiatives.
    • Maintain a robust risk management framework for technical, quality, product safety, and reputational risk.
    • Develop, implement, and enhance a best practice quality assurance program towards total quality management.
    • Establish consistent frameworks across different buying models for assessing new products and ensuring compliance with testing, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee product testing protocols, auditing, and monitoring standards for new and existing products.
    • Provide feedback to manufacturers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality.
    • Monitor product performance, conduct investigations, and implement effective control measures to mitigate risks.
    • Provide solution-focused advice on product safety issues and recalls.
    • Ensure mandatory reporting and administration of supplier risk rating.
    • Educate and collaborate with team members and suppliers on product safety, compliance, and quality.
    • Support communications regarding safe product sourcing activities internally and externally.
    • Manage the strategic relationships with second and third-party service providers, ensuring consistent delivery and value maximization.
    • Liaise with industry groups and relevant authorities to ensure appropriate representation and alignment.

    About You:
    The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in product compliance, certification, and quality assurance management, with a deep understanding of Australian and international technical standards and compliance requirements. As a senior officer, you will drive purposefully, fostering a culture of learning, development, and operational excellence.

    Key Requirements:

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
    • Proven experience in product compliance, certification, and quality assurance management.
    • Ability to coordinate a diverse sourcing portfolio with a focus on product safety and compliance.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with all management levels and a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
    • Highly analytical with the capacity to interpret complex data and utilize effective research and reporting tools.
    • In-depth knowledge of product safety and compliance drivers.
