    About Right at Home Southwest Victoria

    Right at Home Southwest Victoria is a new home care provider in Victoria, however are well established in Australia. Right at Home Southwest Victoria strive to provide high quality in-home care services and assistance to our valued clients in the Southern area of Victoria. We support people living with Alzheimer's, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs and older Australians. Our services help clients remain safe and independent in their own homes. Our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

    About the role

    We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in the Corangamite Shire Region (Terang, Camperdown, Cobden and surrounding areas). It is preferred however not essential that you are an experience in the Aged Care sector. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You will also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
    • Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
    • Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
    • Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
    • Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
    • Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
    • Responding to emergency situations

    Essential Criteria:

    • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
    • Current or willingness to gain a National Police Check
    • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
    • Current unrestricted driver's licence
    • Working with Children Certificate (Not Mandatory)
    • Comprehensive car insurance (desirable)
    • COVID19 Vaccination (Mandatory)

    Qualifications

    • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent);
    • Australian National Police check (or eligibility to obtain);
    • Smart mobile phone;
    • Driver's Licence and reliable registered vehicle (with Comprehensive Insurance); and
    • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain.

    Preferred Skills

    • Willing to learn new skills;
    • NDIS Screening (not mandatory); and
    • Working with Childrens Check (not mandatory).
