About the Senior Software Engineer role
We work remotely and are looking for a collaborative Senior Software Engineer based in Australia.

The majority of our team is based in / around Melbourne, but our flexible working arrangements mean you can be located anywhere in Australia.

Your role and contribution will be crucial in delivering our strategic goals and day-to-day operation.

You will be collaborating with other software and cloud engineers based in Melbourne and Vietnam to build technology for good.

Together, you will design, build, maintain, document and support our APIs, web components and platform

Hands-on tech skills and experience:
Java or other JVM languages.
Clojure or understanding of functional programming languages.
Kafka stream processing.
Typescript.
AWS, particularly Dynamo DB, SQS and Lambda, or similar cloud infrastructure.
Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-code tools.
React or similar front-end experience or exposure.

Demonstrated qualities:
You care for not only our software but also our clients and their end-users.
You have built not only functional but also reliable, maintainable,
performant and extensible systems.
You are proactive and can take ownership and deliver end-to-end
from a request to discovery, design, test, code, deploy, and support.
You can prioritize initiatives and BAU/support work accordingly.
You are curious and innovative, and are able to solve challenges and
delve into uncertainties.
You are able to provide and receive constructive feedback
respectfully.
You have mentored other engineers.
You have good written communication skills to keep technical
documentation evergreen.
You are able to work independently AND as part of / in collaboration
with a broader team (in Australia and overseas)Other duties:
You will liaise with clients and work with them to confirm
requirements for features.
You will be required to be part of the client support rotation, to
handle support queries and issues.
