    About you:

    You are an experiences Clinical Nurse confident to lead with integrity and deliver a high-quality service with the primary focus on achievement of organisational goals for the good of others. You can demonstrate motivation to work in sexual health and with our core client groups: men who have sex with men, sex workers, young people transgender clients, those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, women accessing information and referral for termination of unwanted pregnancy, people who use drugs people living with blood borne viruses and you are competent in the application of clinical problem solving and effective coordination of patient care at an advanced level.

    Your opportunity:

    The Clinical Nurse is required to deliver direct nursing care at an advanced level and is responsible for provision of clinical nursing care in the field of sexual health. This includes blood borne virus testing, treatment and prevention, transgender care, contraception, unplanned pregnancy options and testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.

    Your role:

    • Provide effective and efficient clinical and primary health care in sexual health, whilst working in collaboration with the broader sexual health multidisciplinary team to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in client care.
    • Act as an advocate for the clients and client groups to ensure they access appropriate and inclusive health care.
    • Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate client care activities at an advanced practitioner level within the Sexual Health Service.
    • Provides leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care to particular recipients of healthcare services.
