  • The Role

    The APS5 Maintenance Manager will operate as a member of a small team within the Army Marine. Discipline and with limited guidance and will monitor and report on fleet usage and maintenance rates in order to provide optimisation and improvement options in support of current sustainment activities and is expected to provide maintenance policy advice in addition to contributing to technical solutions to identified problems as required. The APS5 Maintenance Manager uses Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) on a daily basis in the performance of their duties and can be expected to utilise the Configuration Management Tool - Land on a regular basis.
    The APS5 Maintenance Manager will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

    Army Marine, an element of the Hydrographic Systems Program Office, operates within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group, as a part of the Maritime Sustainment Division, within the Specialist Systems Branch.     Our Ideal Candidate
    Our ideal candidate will have the qualifications, competency and ability to provide sustainment and maintenance management. Capability to the Army's fleet of watercraft, with demonstrated understanding of and experience in maintenance and configuration management of fleet equipment with advanced skills using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferably MILIS Maintenance Module; as well as the provision of maintenance advice and mentoring to Army Marine personnel
