    Job Expectations

    An exciting opportunity has presented itself at nbn as a Threat Detection Manager reporting to the Senior Manager CSOC.

    A bit about your role

    The Threat Detection Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in nbn's Cybersecurity Practice. You will role oversees the delivery of efficient and effective operation of nbn's SIEM. This will include upstream and downstream system health with a focus on constant improvement.

    This role will be an opportunity for you to drive technical leadership and serve as a Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders. You will mentor and coach Cyber Analysts and SIEM Engineers to develop talent, enhance engagement and build effective teams.

    A bit about you

    The successful candidate will bring hands on Engineering experience and the ability lead an operations team within a Security Operations Centre or similar environment. You have deep knowledge of Cyber incidents, threat detection, change and innovation.

    As a technical leader, you will exhibit robust influencing, communication, and critical thinking abilities. You will approach decision-making with confidence particularly in high-pressure situations and have the ability to implement system efficiency improvement capabilities.
