    About the Role

    As a Performance Manager, you'll work closely with claims staff within our Workers Compensation team to uplift GB's claims management performance, whilst ensuring the delivery of a customer-centric and best in class claims management service. This will be achieved through conducting thorough and in-depth reviews of various reporting and claims. Engaging with Worksafe and claims teams and coaching and mentoring claims staff.

    You will play a key role in promoting best practice claims management and supporting initiatives across our VIC Workers Compensation team.

    How you'll make an impact

    You will be successful in your role and add value to Gallagher Bassett through:


    • Conducting thorough and in-depth reviews and providing recommendations

    • Promoting best practice claims management

    • Supporting continuous improvement with VIC Workers Compensation

    • Mentoring and coaching team members

    • Coordinating and managing reporting and programs

    • Engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate strategy, business plans and initiatives

    About you

    We're interested in hearing from people who possess:

    • Significant, in depth understanding of the legislation (ACA & WIRCA) and the VWA guidelines and procedures, as well as practical application of these
    • Very comprehensive knowledge of the workers' compensation industry, business requirements and administrative practices and requirements
    • Claims Management experience in a leadership capacity
    • Outstanding leadership skills
    • Coaching and mentoring experience
    • Time management and organisation skills
    • Tertiary qualifications within the disciplines of business or personal injury (or similar)
