    MARS Recruitment is partnering with a reputable mid-tier public practice firm in search of an Audit Senior to enrich their team. Committed to delivering outstanding audit and advisory services to a broad clientele, this firm prioritises excellence in financial oversight. As an Audit Senior, you will assume a central role in leading and managing audit engagements with meticulous attention to detail and effectiveness. Your duties will span a spectrum of responsibilities aimed at upholding the precision, reliability, and adherence to accounting and regulatory standards of financial reporting and internal controls.

    With a strong focus on professionalism, integrity, and client satisfaction, they have built a reputation for delivering quality outcomes and fostering lasting relationships.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans tailored to client needs
    • Lead and execute audit engagements with precision and efficiency
    • Analyse financial statements, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
    • Performing audit procedures and tests of controls
    • Reviewing workpapers and providing guidance to junior team members
    • Preparing audit reports and communicating findings to clients
    • Foster strong client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service delivery.
    • Stay abreast of industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and quality assurance.

    Criteria:

    • 5+ years of experience in external auditing
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CA/CPA qualification or currently working towards it.
    • Strong knowledge of the application of Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and Australian Standards of Auditing (ASAs)
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a requirement.
    • Familiarity with CaseWare or similar audit file technology is preferred.
    • Experience working with not-for-profit clients is highly valued but not mandatory
    • Exceptional communication both verbal and written
    • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
