Your role within the team 

The Sourcing Specialist drives the performance of assigned suppliers across regions, supply stages, or business streams, in line with H&H's sourcing strategies. The role focuses on delivering results against five key pillars: Service, Cost, Quality, Sustainability, and Innovation. This position builds strong, value-based partnerships with suppliers and key internal stakeholders to support H&H's strategic objectives. The Sourcing Specialist leads continuous improvement initiatives, resolves supply and relationship challenges, and ensures suppliers meet performance, product development, and delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Manage and enhance supplier performance, reviewing key metrics and driving documented initiatives to deliver continual improvement. 
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing and order quantities, utilising cost modelling to identify savings and ensure alignment with business needs. 
• Champion sustainability outcomes through ongoing supplier engagement and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with H&H's sustainability objectives. 
• Facilitate monthly performance reviews with key suppliers to assess progress, address challenges, and strengthen partnerships. 
• Monitor supplier-related risks, including material exposure and excess inventory, and implement strategies that reduce financial impact and minimise waste. 
• Drive accountability on product development projects, performing costings, managing pricing negotiations, and ensuring suppliers meet agreed timelines. 
• Identify and engage new supply partners, assessing capability, values alignment, competitiveness, and supporting onboarding and agreement implementation. 
• Support global product launches, coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders to meet delivery milestones across multiple regions. 
• Lead the resolution of supplier issues, mediating internal and external discussions and escalating critical matters where necessary to protect key deliverables. 
• Identify new opportunities through supplier networks, including new product formats, raw materials, packaging innovations, and cost‑improvement initiatives.

To make sure we're setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Science, Engineering, or Pharmacy. 
• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environments such as Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Food, or FMCG, complemented by strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and raw materials. 
• Commercial experience in cost management across products, projects, or cost centres. 
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace. 
• Demonstratable Project Management and Structured Problem-Solving capabilities 
• Experience in the Sourcing/Procurement of raw materials and finished product. 
• Commercial experience in managing costs (product; project; cost centre) 
• Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative management style. 
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access as well as commercial ERP systems. 
• Knowledge of Contract Manufacturing industry is preferable.
