THE ROLE
We have a number of exciting Full-time positions for suitably experienced Registered Nurses to work in our Neurosurgery/Neurology Ward at Macquarie University Hospital.
About You:
Reporting to Nursing Unit Manager (Acute Care), the successful candidate will have sound clinical nursing skills, a strong patient focus, and enthusiasm for working in a team. You will be passionate about nursing clinical excellence, innovation and professional development. This role is also suitable for a nurse who has recently completed their graduate year. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment that values team work and commitment will set you up towards success in this role.
Neurosurgery at Macquarie University Hospital is one of our signature specialties. Boasting one of the largest cohorts of academic neurosurgeons in the country, you will be working alongside experts who are dedicated to not only perfecting their clinical and neurosurgical skills, but also educating future neurosurgical health care professionals.
As well as valuing education, this academic institution undertakes leading breakthrough research in the area of neurology and neurosurgery. With subspecialty interests in vascular neurosurgery, complex spine surgery, tumours, and syringomyelia and Chiari malformation, you will be exposed to the gamut of complex neurosurgery.
Holding regular multidisciplinary meetings where teams discuss cases and consider possible alternatives, our staff are encouraged to participate making informed decision for patients in a collaborative way. Working in Ward 2 will provide Registered Nurse's a space to utilise and further develop knowledge and skills in a rich and learning environment.
