    BDS Mechanical PTY LTD is expanding and currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics, Diesel Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our team.

    All positions are full-time, with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available, featuring various rosters to accommodate your lifestyle.

    About Us:

    BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned, rapidly growing business providing mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in-house and on-site from 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland.

    We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover a vast area of Queensland and Western Australia, ensuring we are never too far away.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Diesel Mechanics/Fitters: Perform diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds, general repairs/maintenance works – trucks, trailers, 4x4's, replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems, earthmoving and mobile plant experience highly valued.
    • Check vehicle lighting systems, test drive vehicles to gauge performance, maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.

    Auto Electrician:

    • Install new vehicle wiring systems, install and troubleshoot immobilizer and alarm systems, gather information from customers about issues with their electrical system, diagnose electrical issues and propose a course of action.
    • Provide customers with estimated time and cost for repairs, repair and replace faulty wiring or electrical systems, service electrical automotive parts.

    The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

    • Relevant trade qualification, valid license, diagnostic experience, good communication skills and strong fault-finding skills.
    • Ability to work as part of a team; extra skills, experience, tickets and licences will be advantageous.
