    Description

    An opportunity has become available at our Adelaide Branch to join our Fleet team. You will be responsible for the management of Northline's PUD Fleet scheduling, optimising fleet performance and maintaining high levels of service for Northline's customers. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has been working with Northline and is looking to further develop skills in the Fleet and Operations space.

    As a Fleet Controller your duties will include:

    • Generate schedules to manage the daily pick-up of freight to / from customers through our new logistics management system Orcoda.
    • Work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to optimize fleet performance and productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and Northline policies, maintain high standards to safety, quality and customer service.
    • Arrange for deliveries inside and outside of normal schedules.
    • Manage and monitor Drivers' daily runs through GPS tracking.
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration among internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to address any operational challenges.

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • Proven experience in a Fleet Controller or similar role within the transportation or logistics sector.
    • Demonstrated experience using a computerised dispatch system and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements, including Chain of Responsibility, Load Restrain Guidelines, Dangerous Goods, and Fatigue Management.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
