    About Us :

    Leapfrog is a mobile paediatric physiotherapy service, working primarily with children with disabilities with funding from the NDIS. 10 Physios total, doing school, home, kindy visits and hydrotherapy.

    About You :

    Position Summary :

    Reporting to the Senior Physiotherapist- Paediatric, as the Physiotherapist you are responsible for effectively developing and assisting in personalised physiotherapy and exercise programs for children in order to maximise our clients'/members' results, attendance, client/member retention and new member acquisition.

    Key Requirements :

    • Experienced and passionate about working with children
    • Experience working in the field of paediatric physiotherapy would be an advantage, but not required - open to New Graduate with a passion for paediatrics and a willingness to learn
    • Friendly, outgoing personality
    • Computer literate, with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
    • Experience in coordinating and developing Physiotherapy and exercise programs
    • Broad understanding of exercise equipment

    Job Responsibility :

    • Track actual attendance and compare to fortnightly targets and ensure all billing is completed in a timely manner
    • Work with clients to develop and assist in the execution of personal exercise responsibilities to help clients achieve their health objectives
    • Holistic knowledge of child development and early intervention practice, using a family centred, strengths based and culturally responsive approach
    • Implement strategies to maximise attendance and maintain appropriate levels of patient bookings
    • Liaise with the Manager regarding feedback and suggestions
    • Continuous research and professional development in industry best practices and implement new methodologies that are in line to organisation's objective
    • Report any necessary repairs/replacement for all exercise equipment and administration hardware
    • Ensure the site treating rooms and exercise areas are kept clean and hygienic and clear of any workplace hazards
    • The ablility to exercise a professional duty of care in a safe environment
    • Must demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in communicating information, advice, instruction and professional opinion to colleagues, patients, clients, users, their relatives and carers
    • Adequate record keeping and ensure patient confidentially at all times
    • Undertake and record a thorough, sensitive and detailed clinical assessment, using appropriate techniques and equipment
    • Professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care
    • Provide appropriate advice based on the patient's medical, social and cultural circumstances
    • Formulate and deliver individual Physiotherapist treatment programs, and group exercise/education programs using clinical assessment and reasoning skills and evidence based information and protocols
    • Formulate progress plans with patients enabling them to achieve treatment goals and targets
    • Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment
    • Need to communicate highly sensitive, complex information, whilst maintaining patient confidentially
    • Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication methods to progress rehabilitation and treatment programs
    • Manage clinical risk within own patient caseload
    • Work within local and national guidelines and protocols where available and appropriate
    • Responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with standards of practice and local policy
    • Responsible for the safe and competent use of physiotherapy equipment and patient appliances and aids by patients, in compliance with Medical Devices Standards
    • Participate in Patient and Public involvement initiatives as appropriate and required
    • Liaise with outside agencies e.g. workers compensation, social services, third party insurance to communicate and advocate both patient and providers requirements
