    Job description

    Our Federal Government Agency seeks to engage Cloud Software Engineers with solid understanding of software development principles as well as knowledge/skills with Azure or other cloud technologies.

    • You will have a particular interest in cloud-native development and infrastructure as code.
    • 12 months contract renewable - Role can be performed in Canberra head office or Sydney or Melbourne
    • AU Citizenship is a must as per obtaining baseline clearance

    Responsibilities

    • Requirements analysis
    • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
    • Write clean, maintainable, & scalable code
    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IAC)
    • Revise, update, refactor & debug code
    • Assist with operations support duties
    • Test and deploy applications and systems
    • Improve and maintain existing software

    Candidate Capabilities:

    Mandatory experience:

    • Developing & delivering enterprise web applications utilising established development tools
      • .NET
      • JavaScript / Typescript
      • Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture
      • SQL / Entity Framework
      • CI/CD Practices

    Highly Desirable experience:

    • Cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code
    • Azure Devops pipeline automation
    • PowerShell & Git
    • Test automation
    • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Agile methodologies.
