    • Salary based on experience, range: $59,877- $76,425 (pro rata) plus super
    • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

    About the role:
    Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking engaged and motivated Legal Assistants to join our team of legal and support staff making a difference in the Goulburn region. Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager, you will work within a team of legal assistants to provide a broad range of legal administration support to our lawyers and the wider office including word processing, data entry, file management and reception services. Additionally, you will assist legal aid clients with general enquiries and work with external legal practitioners and community legal centres to ensure the needs of our clients are met.

    We have the following opportunities available:

    • 3x full-time ongoing positions
    • 1x part-time ongoing position (0.8 FTE)

    About you:
    As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

    • Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Proven ability to provide client-focused services in sensitive environments.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse backgrounds.
    • Sound problem-solving skills to ensure efficient service delivery.
    • Quick learner, adept at grasping new systems and processes.
    • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative teamwork.
    • Experience providing administrative &/or reception support, ideally within a legal environment (highly desirable).
