    Job Description

    As the Mask Fit Testing Officer , you will responsible for conducting the fit testing procedure for Griffith Health student and staff using a variety of N95/P2 respirators to ensure an adequate fit for the wearer. The role also requires completion of administrative tasks including but not limited to management of the booking system, email and phone support, management of stock, reporting and data analysis relating to mask fit testing, completion of placement checks and support to students and Griffith Health schools.

    You will:

  • Ensure fit testing is conducted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
  • Perform all administration duties i.e., ensuring supplies are maintained and kept up to date and collection and filing of staff consent forms
  • Ensure TSI Porta count machine is prepared for use as per manufacturer's guidelines i.e., install the twin tube assembly, prepare alcohol cartridge, connect machine to tablet or computer, connect power source and Fit Pro and complete daily check of Porta count machine
  • Preparing disposable masks using Porta Punch Probe Insertion Tool, sampling probe and push nuts
  • Accurate management of data through Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Effectively complete administrative tasks including but not limited management of the booking system, email and phone support, management of stock, reporting and data analysis relating to mask fit testing, completion of placement checks and support to students and Griffith Health schools.

  • This is a fixed term (until 24 December 2024), Full time position based at the Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

    Salary range
    The full-time equivalent base salary for HEW Level 5 position is in the range of $76,236 - $85,525 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range of $89,197 - $100,064 per annum.

  • Accreditation as a mask fit tester or demonstrate competence through industry experience
