    Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Transport Asset Engineer, key responsibilities include:

    • Plan and carry out geotechnical investigations
    • Supervision and logging of test pits and boreholes
    • Benkelman Beam Testing of Roads
    • Sourcing and managing external laboratory testing of soils and road building materials
    • Assisting with inspections of Council's transport and drainage assets and documentation of their condition and required maintenance

    About you:

    • Certificate IV level qualifications in Civil Construction or a related discipline
    • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
    • Experience in planning, conducting and reporting of geotechnical investigations including test pitting and borehole logging
    • Experience in planning, conducting and reporting pavement investigation using Benkelman Beam testing or similar
