    About the Division / Team

    Our Interstate network is responsible for the management of approximately 6,000km of track and servicing a broad range of supply chains. The team comprises more than 500 staff and 24 provisioning centres and depots, which continue to deliver major corridor maintenance works and projects across the country to increase the efficiency and capacity of Australia's rail network.

    About the Opportunity

    Lead and supervise a multi-skilled delivery worksgroup to deliver work allocated by the Area Manager to appropriate standards toensure the operational integrity and efficiency of a designated location orsection within a defined Rail Corridor.

    Ensure mandatory systematic inspection,examination, condition monitoring and functional checks on the railinfrastructure are conducted and take appropriate action to ensure railinfrastructure is in a safe operational condition, including recording, reportingand prioritisation of defective infrastructure to maintain a valid defectrecording system and work management system.

    About You

    To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Detailed knowledge of a single rail infrastructure discipline stream (track, structures or signalling);
  • Certification in infrastructure inspection, assessment and repair;
  • Ability to undertake asset condition forecasting and reporting
  • Ability to supervise/manage multi-disciplined teams for effective performance;
  • Knowledge of or an awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation;
  • Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence Class C;
  • Desirable

  • Protection Officer Level 3 (PO3)
  • Handsignalling Level 1 and 2
  • Drivers licence class MR/HR
