    THE CLIENT:

    Our client, a reputable construction company specializing in new home builds, is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Foreman / Lead Carpenter to join their team in Doncaster. They offer a steady pipeline of work, long-term job security, and a supportive environment to help you achieve your career goals in the construction industry.

    THE ROLE:

    As a qualified Carpenter and Site Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing carpentry work on numerous different construction sites.

    SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

    • Motivate and manage a team of carpenters to ensure timely and high-quality project completion.
    • Execute site-related carpentry scope, including day-to-day, lock-up, fixing, and fit-off work.
    • Conduct site inductions for trades, hold daily/weekly toolbox meetings and maintain a safe working environment.
    • Complete daily site logs and WhatsApp updates, with a weekly task summary for planning.
    • Proactively communicate to ensure a continuous workflow, informing management of overruns and issues.
    • Represent the company professionally on-site, upholding the builder's reputation as the Site Induction Coordinator (SIC).
    • Assist trades, manage deliveries, and relay information to management through regular weekly meetings.
    • Maintain a detailed knowledge of plans, collaborate with others, and enforce cleanliness on-site.
    • Understand and adhere to the construction schedule, informing management of any issues that may arise.
    • Validate other trade-related work upon completion to meet pre-measurement requirements.
    • Organize materials, hardware, and other trades with the support of the office team.
    • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project specifications.


    NON-NEGOTIABLES:

    • You must be a qualified carpenter with at least 3 years of experience outside of your apprenticeship
    • You must have your car and tools available for the role – the company is happy to offer a car after a 6-month probation period
    • You must have experience within the residential sector


    WHAT YOU'LL GET:

    • $100-120k + super - company vehicle will be provided after 6 months probationary period
    • Monday to Friday – weekends are your own
