    About The Opportunity

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety, Quality, Environment (HSQE) Advisor to join our villages located in the Bowen Basin (Coppabella, Dysart, Middlemount, Moranbah, Nebo), a few hours inland from Mackay.

    This role will also include adhoc travel to our NSW and WA Villages.

    The prime position of this role is to provide a service for Civeo businesses and assist in facilitating the management, co-ordination and control of the Health Safety Quality Environment (HSQE) obligations and maintain compliance with the respective state legislation, accreditations and standards.

    The role includes the maintenance of HSQE systems and data recording, while assisting the sites with compliance to Civeo Safety Management System (Integrated Management System IMS) and further developing a positive people-based safety culture.

    Additionally, this role also requires assisting the Workplace Rehabilitation Manager with initial control of workers compensation and return to work (RTW) programs, assisting with Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Workplace Health & Safety and Environment.

    Permanent Full-time position available on 8/6 roster.

  • About You

    To be successful, you will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in an equivalent role
  • Relevant Tertiary/TAFE Qualifications and/or education in the following disciplines:
  • Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management (desirable)Risk Management qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety and Health (minimum)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable) or equivalent
  • Qualification in Auditing and or equivalent (desirable)
  • Thorough understanding of relevant Work Health & Safety (WHS), Environmental and Workers Compensation Regulations and Legislation.
  • Developed understanding of Quality ISO 9001, Food Safety ISO 22000, OHS ISO 45001 and Environmental ISO 14001 would be advantageous
  • Experience with systems and programs including MyOSH, ICAM and SharePoint
  • Ability to identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations
  • Knowledge with developing work instructions/safe work practices
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Capability to work under pressure
  • Remote work experience (highly regarded) Hospitality Service desirable
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
