    The Role


    As a Senior Surveyor / Survey Manager, you will:

    • Take ownership of major survey projects across civil construction, mining, and infrastructure.
    • Lead and mentor a team of surveyors, ensuring delivery of high-quality results.
    • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing Benchmark's reputation for precision and professionalism.
    • Drive innovation by implementing new systems, technologies, and workflows.
    • Manage resources, scheduling, and data with accuracy and efficiency.

    About You


    To be considered for this role, you should hold a degree (or equivalent) in Spatial Science / Surveying and bring the following:

    • Strong quality systems knowledge – able to develop, drive, and maintain processes that deliver consistent results.
    • Solid understanding of work health and safety practices.
    • A people-first approach – supporting and empowering employees to be their best in the field.
    • Proven ability to mentor, lead, and inspire survey teams.
    • Problem-solving mindset – with the ability to solve and coach others to solve field challenges effectively.
    • Confidence in working with planning and design engineers to scope, plan, and deliver project requirements.
    • Demonstrated surveying experience in civil construction.
    • Proficiency in industry software, including 12D and Civil 3D.
    • (Highly regarded) Experience with survey equipment such as Leica, Trimble, and Topcon, plus excellent data management skills.
