    Description

    • Opportunity for advancement within a reputable animal pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Rutherford, Hunter Valley
    • 6 month fixed term contract with possible extension (leave benefits)

    Our client, a global leader in animal health innovation, is currently on the lookout for a Project Engineer on a 6 month contract (with possible extension) to take the lead on a series of capital projects at a newly acquired facility in the Hunter valley.

    Reporting initially to the Production Manager, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are following their timelines as well as budgets are being maintained.

    You will also have responsibility over:

    • Managing capital projects within agreed budgets and timelines.
    • Designing facilities and equipment, prepare necessary documentation, and oversee tender and contract processes.
    • Supervising internal and external consultants and contractors to maintain standards of work.
    • Preparing commissioning and qualification protocols and reports.
    • Assisting in the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new facilities and equipment.
    • Developing key equipment SOPs and provide training to engineers and operators.
    • Ensuring adherence to SOPs, EH&S, and GMP guidelines, focusing on continuous improvement.

    An ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electronic would be ideal)
    • Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facility design, construction, or operation
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice
    • Project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry
    • Knowledge of clean room air conditioning design and installation
    • Familiarity with API synthesis, aseptic filling, and packaging equipment design and installation
