- The preparation of design layouts, models, and other engineering specifications to deliver outstanding support for our customers.
- Provide technical assistance/ liaison to manufacturing, including reviewing and acting upon requests for parts deviation from drawings and requests for drawing revisions to aid manufacturing process.
- Learn to interact with the customer, the organisation and the Global Engineering team on matters relating to product performance and its application.
- Assist with field trial tests with respect to product development, performance analysis, and failure analysis of Mining equipment in the Australian region.
- Experience what it's like to work with our customers and service team on site related issues.
- You will experience a wide range of people both internally and externally, as well as daily interaction with colleagues in other Komatsu offices globally.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering eligible for Engineers Australia Professional status.
- A desire to work within the manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
- Basic skills in computer aided design (CAD/Inventor/Solid Works) and awareness of FEA and basic hydraulics, as well as an understanding of basic drawing requirements.

Job OverviewKomastu Mining are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join their engineering team on a full-time basis. This is a two-year fixed term contract based at our Parkhurst design and manufacturing centre in QLD.
Working as a member of Komastu's design team, this is an opportunity for you to use your learning, and develop your engineering application, business, and product knowledge as you build an exciting career in the mining industry.
You'll be working in a supportive environment with experienced design engineers offering mentoring and guidance during this two-year program.
You'll be exposed to all aspects of engineering design, manufacturing processes and industry standards within a project environment.

Graduates Engineers or students completing their final year of an undergraduate Engineering Degree are encouraged to apply.
