Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Crowd Technical Director to join our team at Framestore in Melbourne. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for bringing large-scale scenes to life by simulating and animating tens of thousands of characters for high-end visual effects films.The role involves working closely with Supervisors and department Leads to craft the dynamic motion and behavior of digital crowds that fill the worlds of our most ambitious projects. You will use proprietary software as well as off-the-shelf tools like Houdini Crowds Agent Definitions (Maya experience a plus) to create visually rich simulations that balance realism with artistry.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on both creative problem-solving and technical innovation, with the chance to contribute to the development of new tools and techniques that push the boundaries of what's possible in visual effects.
